As a parent, I can’t imagine the pain of losing a child.

For Emilie Kiser, that pain is compounded by a media frenzy and over 100 public records requests seeking details about her 3-year-old son Trigg’s tragic drowning.

Arizona influencer filed a lawsuit Tuesday against multiple Maricopa County public offices to keep records of her son's death private.

Emilie has filed a lawsuit not to hide anything, but to protect her family’s right to mourn without the world dissecting every detail. She’s also caring for a newborn, trying to hold her family together while facing unimaginable grief.

The records in question include graphic and intimate details that serve no public interest. Releasing them would only cause further trauma.

We urge the City of Chandler, the Chandler Police Department, and Maricopa County to respect Emilie’s request and keep Trigg’s records sealed.
