Legalize the Use of Ibogaine for Drug Addiction Treatment in the United States

Legalize the Use of Ibogaine for Drug Addiction Treatment in the United States
The Issue
I speak from personal pain and a relentless sense of loss. Individuals close to me have lost their lives to the devastating spiral of drug addiction. I have witnessed firsthand how conventional treatments have only served to trade one addiction for another, perpetuating a never-ending cycle. But hope exists in the form of Ibogaine. It has shown the potential to help break free from addiction cleanly, completely, and usually in one session, without withdrawal symptoms.
Ibogaine, a substance derived from the African shrub, Tabernanthe Iboga, has shown promise as an effective treatment for a range of addictions including opiates, meth, alcohol, and cocaine. According to research by the American Journal on Addictions, 80% of participants reported significant decreased cravings for opiates , meth, alcohol and cocaine after ibogaine treatment. Most people only need one treatment to completely walk away free from addiction and being a spiritually whole and healthy human being.
However, despite this promise, it's illegal in the United States. It's time to change that. It's time to rethink drug dependencies and how they are treated. It's time to embrace potential solutions regardless of their unconventional nature. Ibogaine not only addresses the physical and mental nature of addiction but it also brings a spiritual wellness aspect that is in my opinion, why it is so effective long term.
By legalizing Ibogaine for drug addiction treatment, we could potentially save millions of lives and provide a chance for recovery to people trapped in their addictions. Let's not allow outdated laws to stand in the way of potential healing and recovery. We call upon lawmakers to pave the way for Ibogaine treatments by introducing legislation to legalize the substance.
Please sign this petition to urge for the legalization of Ibogaine as a potential solution for those suffering from the grim cycle of drug addiction. Currently the only place to receive ibogaine treatment in a medically controlled safe clinical setting is in Mexico. All Americans who struggle with addiction should have this option available here in America ! Help me make this a reality
