Over 40,000 Maryland Unemployment claimants have not been paid their weekly UI benefits. Some claimants have been put on hold for "Unresolved Issues" for over 6 months despite uploading the requested documents and contacting MDOL. Claimants and their families are depending on the payment of their UI benefits to meet basic needs of food, clothing and shelter. We need emergency action to take place and claimants to be paid their benefits before the effects on their lives and families becomes irreparable.
