Election of US  President, House, Senate and Federal issues should be separate from state election rules. It could be done at the same time as other elections and issues but separate, so states do not have any say in the federal process. Iron clad proof registration such as bar code and thumbprint with a card that is fed into an ATM by that voter. Results should only be reported when election day ends. Your vote should count! Cheating needs to be eliminated.  Valid elections are essential so voters know their vote counts and are not being invalidated by cheaters. And why the long lines. Moster voters know who they want in offices months before eletion day. If secure, voting could take place 60 to 90 days in advance.
