Owned by and created in Chattanooga, EPB fiber optics has some of the fastest internet speeds in the nation. Yet EPB has been kept out of Cleveland, TN by bigger companies who would rather pay to keep out competition instead of investing to improve their own network. Cleveland has been stuck with unreliable, slow internet for far too long — especially out in the county. We could have way faster internet at a cheaper price, if only our politicians let EPB fiber optics come to Cleveland! Let the citizens of Cleveland make their own choices and stop blocking EPB fiber optics from expanding into Cleveland, TN. 

A note from the petition creator: I’ve wanted to switch to EPB for years. My internet (Spectrum, aka Charter) goes out several times a week, usually late at night. This has happened consistently for the past decade, regardless of where I was living and what equipment I had. The common denominator of poor internet has always been the provider and I have no other alternative service providers available. I’ve heard the same story from all my friends in Cleveland too. On June 28, 2021 I asked EPB, “What can I do to bring your service to my area?” and EPB’s answer was “write your congressmen” because they are being forcibly kept out of Cleveland!
