Sheikh Saad Elhelaly has become a valued religious teacher and community presence for many Muslims and families in Elk Grove.

Through his teaching, guidance, community engagement, and work with families and youth, Sheikh Saad has built relationships that many members of our community deeply appreciate.

We respectfully ask MAS Sacramento leadership to explore every reasonable option that would allow Sheikh Saad to continue serving the Elk Grove Muslim community.

An imam's relationship with a community develops over time. For many families, that relationship includes religious education, mentorship, spiritual guidance, support for young people, and a trusted connection to the Muslim community.

This petition is simply an expression of support from community members who would like Sheikh Saad to remain in Elk Grove. It makes no claim about any internal matter, and it asks nothing of anyone other than a conversation.

We respectfully ask MAS Sacramento leadership to hear the community's perspective, engage in constructive dialogue, and consider a path that allows Sheikh Saad to continue serving our community.
