Two of my close friends are facing an unfair predicament at The Good Companion in Shenley Road, Borehamwood. They have been told they cannot take on the lease they rightfully deserve. They are incredibly dedicated and skilled in their current roles as supervisors at the pub, always going above and beyond for both the patrons and the establishment itself. Yet, the brewery, Craft Union, plans to bring in two new supervisors while keeping my friends on as mere bar staff, This is unacceptable and deeply unjust.

Losing such devoted and hardworking individuals as supervisors would be devastating to the pub's community and its quality of service. Their years of experience, commitment, and rapport with patrons have made The Good Companion a beloved local gathering spot. Their potential roles as managers would only amplify their positive impact and enhance the pub's standing in the community.

By choosing to replace them with outsiders, Craft Union overlooks the value that these individuals add to the business, both in terms of customer satisfaction and team morale. They're not just workers; they are the heart of The Good Companion.

This decision seems to be driven more by corporate indifference than practicality. It stands to reason that those who have shown unwavering dedication and possess keen insight into the pub's operations and clientele are better suited to lead than newcomers unfamiliar with the community.

Please join me in urging Craft Union to reconsider their decision and rightfully promote my friends into the managerial roles they have earned through hard work and passion.
