Petition updatePaul Edmondson: Writers are Entitled to ALL Earnings, Removal of Content & Author Content"Every Whistleblower is Bullied." ~ Workplace Bullying Institute

As many of you realize by now, Paul Edmondson, CEO of HubPages, has chosen to use "shills" to communicate with me.
In my last petition update, I included the link to the "conversation" I had with Stephen Parkin on May 20th, 2015. This was publicly posted on Google Plus: https://plus.google.com/u/0/107889574670988423996/posts/6rwzs1PbrZg
I draw your attention to Mr. Parkin's statement:
"I am not worried about Paul Edmondson as I have been in contact with him..., he is being advised to say nothing until any pending legal actions have run there course..., he will have plenty to say to the authorities... Meanwhile he will not discuss a sub judice matter and for your own good neither should you."
Fortunately, HLesley and classicalgeek (both InfoBarrel authors) have stepped forward to help me. (And along with Jonathan Nielsen, I can't thank them enough). I just learned that HubPages has changed their webhost. So I will try again to have my work removed from HubPages Inc.
Since stealing identities, content, and earnings from honest writers appears to be happening on other platforms, the laws surrounding the sale of domains needs to change.
The ONUS should be on site owners to PROVE they have the express permission of the original content owner (when the Terms of Use states: "HubPages (or Squidoo, etc.) does not claim ownership of Your Content or Author Content" (or along those lines)."
Site owners (such as HubPages and Squidoo) should NEVER be allowed to sell something they don't own. It's rather simple. And to provide a slim window to remove work (like before August 29th) is egregiously unfair to those unaware, unavailable, or dead.
It should NOT mean the content "no longer belongs to the writer" and "by omission, consent was given" to take (or import) it – and profit from it.
Crazy.
Does that mean, then, that if I come to your house, Paul Edmondson . . knock on your door (and you don't answer) that I can legally steal your car? Because that is exactly the same thing, isn't it?
On another note:
It appears that InfoBarrel will allow HLesley to post her work (which was similarly stolen).
I checked out Google's policy on duplicate content and it states:
"In the rare cases in which Google perceives that duplicate content may be shown with intent to manipulate our rankings and deceive our users, we'll also make appropriate adjustments in the indexing and ranking of the sites involved.
As a result, the ranking of the site may suffer, or the site might be removed entirely from the Google index, in which case it will no longer appear in search results.
In rare situations, our algorithm may select a URL from an external site that is hosting your content without your permission. If you believe that another site is duplicating your content in violation of copyright law, you may contact the site’s host to request removal.
In addition, you can request that Google remove the infringing page from our search results by filing a request under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act."
[Sadly, these "rare" cases and situations are becoming "frequent" if you ask me.]
Well, the last time I contacted the Google Removals Team, they didn't "get" my point. I had two email exchanges with them; trying to explain the situation. They ended up stating:
"If you pursue legal action against this site that results in the removal of the offending material, our search results will display this change after we next crawl the site.
If the webmaster makes these changes and you need us to expedite the removal of the cached copy, please submit your request using our webpage removal request tool at http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals."
So my question for Google is this:
What will happen if I try to post my 293 articles, formerly on Squidoo, on InfoBarrel or my Blogger blog? The unauthorized and infringing copy can be found at: http://sousababy.hubpages.com/ which now redirects to: http://hubpages.com/@sousababy
Addendum: This last phrase was added today January 8th, 2016 which now redirects to: http://hubpages.com/@sousababy
Will Google "punish" InfoBarrel, HubPages, or my Blogger blog?
Thank you once again to all of my supporters and fellow writers. And BTW, I highly recommend that you check out the fine work of:
Classicalgeek: http://www.infobarrel.com/Users/classicalgeek
HLesley: http://www.infobarrel.com/Users/HLesley
Jonathan Nielsen (aka TanoCalvenoa): http://www.infobarrel.com/Users/TanoCalvenoa
For those who are enjoying this, like gnhlanarkshire (Gordon Hamilton), I guess we'll see who has the last laugh. NOTE: I just noticed that InfoBarrel has removed his abusive commentary from HLesley's forum thread: http://www.infobarrel.com/forum-topic.php?id=13190&page=1
(I kept a screenshot, though, so you all have proof of what I'm going through. Whistleblowers ALWAYS get bullied.)
Stay well,
Rose
