JUSTICE REFORM FOR WEST VIRGINIA

JUSTICE REFORM FOR WEST VIRGINIA

The Issue

I have sued the State of West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation in US District Court for $691 million: Case No. 1-20cv269 / 21-7464 and filed for the arrest of all monies held in trust from litigation with the pharmaceutical industry. This Civil Action is brought against the State of West Virginia as a class action lawsuit in response to deplorable conditions, inhumane treatment, cruel and unusual punishment, including violation of Civil, Human and Constitutional Rights under color of law. These violations include no hot water for showers, cleaning or hygiene purposes at CRJ for two years, and people were fed food off the floor that had been exposed to sewage and fecal matter among a list of other gross violations of law. The state of West Virginia has stripped citizens of all rights and adopted total authoritarianism of the rich and politically connected against the poor. When a person insists their rights be respected they are arrested for obstruction. Detainees are kept in these facilities until plea agreements and convictions are coerced. These practices have been employed by career politicians who have created incarceration of the poor as a private for profit business model where judges and attorneys are monetarily incentivised to incarcerate citizens. What's more, these unlawful practices are protected from legal challenges through the denial of access to proper legal counsel and fair hearing in courts. Furthermore, the state has reorganized on paper to classify these cathartic facilities as Rehabilitation in order to squander the funds obtained by the state of West Virginia from litigation with the pharmaceutical industry in regard to the opioid epidemic intended to compensate and repair economic damages to effected West Virginia citizens, but absolutely no social support services are provided.
