The Issue

Let’s not mince words — this is a full-blown journalistic oversight of historic proportions.

For years, The Sequoyah County Times has faithfully delivered its cherished “Just Folks” column, highlighting the everyday legends who make our community what it is. And yet… somehow… inexplicably… one name has been left off the list:

Tommy Morgan.

Yes, that Tommy Morgan.

A man. A myth. A walking “Just Folks” column waiting to happen.

This petition exists to respectfully (but firmly) ask — no, encourage — the editors at SCT to correct this glaring omission and finally give the people what they want: a full-featured, front-and-center, no-holds-barred “Just Folks” spotlight on Mr. Morgan.

We’re not asking for much:
- Just a well-deserved interview
- A tasteful yet heroic photo
- Possibly a quote or two that will live on in local legend

Sequoyah County deserves to hear the story. Future generations deserve documentation. And frankly, it’s time.

Let the record show:
We were here.
We noticed.
And we demand justice.

Interview Tommy Morgan.
Tell the story.
Make it right.
