Timothy heller came forward with rape allegations against her best friend, singer Melanie Martinez, in 2017. Instead of listening to Heller's realistic and detailed story, people instantly ran to pick her allegations apart. This included invalidating Timothy's entire statement simply because she didn't fully remember the date of the event (which had happened 2 years prior to when she came forward, in June of 2015.)

Timothy Heller described how Melanie Martinez pressured her into having sex while Timothy was on Marijuana, and Timothy kept refusing or trying to change the subject. Timothy was forcefully penetrated by a sex toy, as detailed in her statement. Timothy was in denial for a long time after this event, still being friends with Martinez, which was used against her.

Melanie's statement following these accusations read: "I am horrified and saddened by the statements and story told tonight by Timothy Heller. What she and I shared was a close friendship for a period of time. We came into each other's lives as we were both starting our careers as artists, and we tried to help each other. We both had pain in dealing with our individual demons and the new paths we were forging, but I truly felt we were trying to lift each other up. She never said no to what we chose to do together. And although we parted ways, I am sending her love and light always."

In this statement, Melanie confirmed they had intercourse or at least chose to do something together. This almost entirely invalidates the argument that Timothy getting the dates wrong means that she is lying.

Melanie Martinez later thanked her fans for researching timelines relating to the incident, which was all useless, because Melanie admitted that the events took place just that she saw it as consensual.

An old friend of Melanie Martinez, Madeleine Carina, shared that she had a very similar experience to Timothy Heller with Melanie Martinez, being pressured and begged into sex. An old makeup artist of Melanie also said that Melanie Martinez was a "shitty person" in her experience.

Fake screenshots of Timothy Heller "apologising" to Melanie Martinez or "admitting" that she lied were proven to all be photoshopped by Melanie Martinez fans, AKA, Crybabies. Soon after Timothy came forward with her experience with Melanie, somebody created fake accusations against Timothy Heller. This person later admitted via reddit that they'd faked these accusations against Timothy and have regrets about it.

Timothy Heller is still harassed to this day and has no public social media that isn't her YouTube channel, where her music is uploaded. Timothy Heller has been doxed and attacked constantly, all because she came forward about her rapist.
