Justice for the Dogs Abused at Central Wisconsin K-9 — Shut the Facility Down for Good
The Issue
In October 2025, nine dogs were rescued in poor and unsanitary conditions from Central Wisconsin K-9 in Schofield. The next day, authorities removed eight more dogs from the facility. According to police and humane society staff, these dogs were found in extremely poor health — malnourished, neglected, and in clear distress.
The owner of Central Wisconsin K-9, Sean Dumais, and his employee, Kalib Suchomski, have now been arrested and charged with animal abuse. But arrests are not enough.
We, the undersigned, are calling on:
- The Marathon County District Attorney to prosecute this case to the fullest extent of the law
- The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) to permanently revoke all licenses held by Central Wisconsin K-9 and its operators
- Local authorities to ban both men from owning, training, or working with animals again
- State legislators to pass stronger regulations and oversight for dog training and boarding facilities in Wisconsin
This was not a one-time incident. These animals suffered over a prolonged period, in a facility that marketed itself as a trusted training service. Owners left their dogs in good faith, only to find them returned sick, traumatized, or worse.
There must be zero tolerance for this kind of cruelty.
Animal abuse is not just a private crime — it’s a public betrayal of trust. If Wisconsin doesn’t act decisively now, it sends the message that people can profit from animals while neglecting or abusing them behind closed doors.
The dogs rescued from Central Wisconsin K-9 are now in the care of the Humane Society of Marathon County, where they are receiving treatment and support. But for them — and for the many animals who suffer in silence — we must demand accountability.
Sign this petition to demand justice for the abused dogs of Central Wisconsin K-9. Help shut this place down — and stop animal abusers from operating in our communities.
