Justice for the Cat Tortured and Killed in Seattle's University District
The Issue
On June 30, Seattle Animal Control officers found a cat dead in a dumpster near Northeast 59th Street and Roosevelt Way Northeast.
According to Pasado's Safe Haven, the cat had been abducted, tortured, and killed.
Security cameras in the University District captured an unidentified suspect carrying the cat in the early morning hours before the animal was found.
This was not an accident. Someone deliberately harmed a defenseless animal, and they have not been caught.
Pasado's Safe Haven and the Seattle Animal Shelter are jointly offering a $5,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest. Animal cruelty of this severity is not just heartbreaking. It is a serious crime, and it often signals a pattern of violent behavior that extends beyond animals.
Seattle law enforcement and Animal Control need to make this case a priority. The community deserves to know that this level of cruelty will not go unanswered.
Sign this petition to demand justice for the cat killed in Seattle's University District and to make clear that animal cruelty will not be tolerated in our community.
