The Issue

Eleven animals were rescued just in time in Tennessee after being found emaciated, suffering, and left exposed ahead of a dangerous cold snap. Dogs and cats were starving, weak, and in urgent need of medical care. Some would not have survived the freezing temperatures without intervention.

This was not an accident. This was neglect.

Animal Rescue Corps stepped in when help was urgently needed, saving these animals and rushing them to safety. But rescue is only the first step. These animals deserve justice for what they endured.

Leaving animals without adequate shelter, food, or care during extreme cold is illegal in Tennessee because it can be deadly. These laws exist to protect animals who cannot protect themselves. When they are violated, accountability matters.

Animal lovers across the state are asking the same question: Will this cruelty be taken seriously?

We call on local law enforcement and the District Attorney to fully investigate this case and pursue appropriate animal cruelty charges against whoever was responsible. Failing to act sends the message that neglect is acceptable as long as someone else cleans up the mess.

Justice is part of compassion. It helps prevent future suffering and tells the community that animals matter.

Please sign this petition to stand up for these 11 animals and demand accountability for the harm they suffered. They survived the cold. Now they deserve justice.
