The issue

Cory Lambert was killed in cold blood by his ex wife's father 'Paul Kennedy' and Paul walked free. His murder has been brushed under the rug by law enforcement which is a horrifying testament to the flawed criminal justice system. Cory, full of dreams and potential, was tragically murdered, and the person responsible walks free.

Paul Kennedy and his family members who were present that night were all in the presence of the 2 officers when Paul repeated approximately 6 times that he was ‘going to kill Cory Lambert’.

Cory's mum, 'Vicki' was told by members of the community, who had apparently heard Paul Kennedy claim that he shot Cory 3-4 times.

Vicki was not given the facts she needed about what exactly happened to her son, so all we know is what I have been telling you guys.

Vicki has done more investigative work than the actual police, and being told that her son was shot 3-4 times seemed excessive to her.

The thing was, he had been shot way more than 3-4 times.

So, when Vicki went to see Cory's body after his autopsy she was devastated/shocked/livid beyond comprehension, because she could see that there way more than 3-4 shots to his body.

Cory had so many bullet entries and exits all over his body that they were basically not able to embalm him because he had so many wounds.

Vicki's love for her son was unwavering and profound, blossoming from the very first moment she cradled him as a newborn to the heartbreaking day she had to say goodbye.

In the aftermath of his passing, she took notes on the severe injuries that covered his body, capturing every detail of the trauma he endured.

Besides the 11 gunshot wounds, she also observed a troubling dark pink mark located in the center of his forehead, as well as another significant area on the right side above his ear, which raised concerns about what happened before he was shot.

Additionally, she noted signs that suggested he might have suffered a broken nose, a detail that added to the pain of her grief as she grappled with the loss of her beloved son.

The reason this information is important lies in the fact that a deceased body does not exhibit signs of bruising or redness.

When injuries are discovered on a body, it indicates that these wounds were inflicted while the person was still alive.

And, Vicki was able to see which injuries were likely responsible for Cory's death by closely analyzing the surrounding tissue around each wound.

So, it appears that Cory was beaten up prior to his death.

From the statements and the CCTV video police obtained, Cory came into view in the back yard, he turns toward Paul Kennedy who then opens fire.

1 shot to the chest, 1 defensive wound to Cory's left forearm, 1 defensive wound to his right index finger, 1 shot to his left lateral torso, and 7 shots in his back.

After the shot to the lateral torso, Cory turns to his right and attempts to flee, with Paul Kennedy stalking behind him shooting him 7 times in the back.

Cory then fell face first on the ground. He was not moving, and Paul Kennedy shot an unarmed man who was brought to their location by his ex-wife a total of 11times.

Make it make sense!

How is this man not in prison?

Shockingly, the clearance rate for murders in the U.S. is just 61.4%, according to data from the FBI. This means that nearly 40% of murder cases aren't being solved, leaving many families like Cory’s unable to find peace or justice (FBI, 2018).

Cory's mother has been left with an unfillable void and an infinite number of unanswered questions. Achieving justice for Cory would provide his mother a modicum of solace in this horrifying ordeal.

We must urge the Prentiss County Sheriff Department and district attorney to reopen Cory's case and ensure no stone remains unturned. Sign this petition to demand justice for Cory Lambert and closure for his grieving loved ones. Let us make our voices heard. Sign the petition now.
