I just wanted to remind everyone that sentencing for Phillip Savelli regarding the murder of Coco is next week (February 23rd) at 9am (eastern standard time).

Coco’s mom and I have been working closely with the prosecutors this week to finalize everything that needs to be done on our end. We are submitting the victim impact statement tonight, and we have also been working on the letter that will be read during sentencing.

We are also pushing for the video of Phil killing Coco to be shown to the judge during sentencing. Coco’s mom and I feel it is so crucial for the judge to see and hear Coco’s last hours to have a full understanding of what she endured.

I am also waiting to hear back on whether other people will be allowed to speak at her sentencing. I will post an update as soon as I hear from the prosecutor.

One last thing I wanted to share with you is something I just learned about. Cuyahoga County has an animal abuse registry. We need to figure out a way to get this state-wide. Please share this registry with anyone you know involved in rehoming animals. This is such a valuable tool, and if we can expand it, it will help save the lives of more animals.
