Justice for Cats Brutally Attacked With Blow Darts in Maryland

The Issue

At least eight innocent cats in Boonsboro, Maryland have been hunted and attacked with steel razor-tip blow darts.

Six of them died. Two barely survived.

These were living, feeling animals. Some were likely someone’s pets. They were left to suffer slow, agonizing deaths at the hands of someone who chose to cause harm.

This is more than cruelty. It is calculated torture. Someone in our community is intentionally hurting animals, and they have not been caught yet.

We cannot let this go unanswered.

We are calling on the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the Humane Society of Washington County, and Maryland state authorities to fully investigate these horrific crimes and prosecute whoever is responsible to the fullest extent of the law.

A reward of $7,500 is being offered, but justice should not depend only on money. It requires public pressure, community outrage, and a strong commitment from officials to treat animal cruelty as the serious crime it is.

The two surviving cats are recovering, but this story should never have happened. Help us make sure it never happens again.

If you are heartbroken and horrified like we are, sign this petition to demand full prosecution and stronger protections for animals in Maryland.
