The Issue

Elie Mystal, Breaking Media Editor At Large, is the author of an editorial that was published on Above the Law on December 7, 2016.  Above the Law is the most widely read website and blog for lawyers and legal professionals. In his editorial, among other shocking claims, Mr. Mystal asserts that "white people act like the law is just a guideline and their personal morality (or lack thereof) should be controlling." He advises at length that black jurors use their judicial power to "acquit any person charged with a crime against white men and white male institutions."

His unrestrained hate, massive categorization of people according to their race, and inciting others to behave in a way that would destroy the justice system make him completely unfit to serve as an editor for this major publication. He should be removed immediately from the editorial staff at Above the Law, together with any editors who approved this article.
