Thanks for your support for this petition. I think we are making very good progress on getting a new roundabout at Middle Fork and Waterton (not to be confused with the current roundabout construction at Eagle River and Waterton).

At a meeting in late November with the Sterling Ranch Development, CAB, Metro District 3 and JAA, we were told that Sterling Ranch had looked at some options and that they supported the roundabout at Middle Fork and Waterton and would talk to the county to try and move this effort forward. 

A few days ago, I got a call from Sterling Ranch Development and they told me that the county and Sterling Ranch had come to an agreement in principle to quickly move forward with the Middle Fork and Waterton roundabout and to have it completed before JAA starts school in the fall of 2026.

This roundabout will help with our main safety concern (left-hand turn to Snake River from Waterton) as car speeds will be reduced by the roundabout.  It might also reduce some of the traffic flow through the Ascent Village neighborhood.  As of right now, the plan is not for the Middle Fork roundabout to be the main ingress and exit for JAA. 

We appreciate the advocacy of Harold, Brock and Kevin at Sterling Ranch, Gary at the CAB, and Corey and Greg at Metro District 3. We look forward to continuing to work with Ellie and the new Headmaster at JAA as they finalize the traffic flow plan before the start of the school year.
