Let’s face it, as great as the Star Spangled Banner is, it’s a bit dated. It’s about time to try something new that represents the present and future of our country a little better. As it stands, the current national anthem is dwelling in our war-filled past and depicts the gruesome Revolutionary War. But a song like “Party In The U.S.A.” portrays a more lively and peaceful United States. Perhaps having this image of the United States portrayed in our National Anthem could be a step in the right direction to bring the country closer together and improving international relations. In addition, the song is performed by the incredible Miley Cyrus, who is the prime candidate to be representation of our country. A country with Hannah Montana as it’s figurehead is sure to persevere.
