The results of the presidential election in November 2020 prove that the Democratic party is incapable of winning elections without a broad base of support, including progressives, leftists and activists of many shades who voted for Joe Biden despite their thorough distaste for his relatively conservative politics and the active harm that he has visited in his long career upon young people, people of color, women, and the working class.

We want to make it clear to Joe Biden and the Democratic party that, while we might have given you our votes in 2020 in order to facilitate the removal of Donald Trump from office, we believe that the policies of the Democratic party are largely to blame for the conditions that made Trump's administration a possibility in the first place.

Our continued support comes at a price. The signatories of this petition hereby demand that Medicare For All be established by November 2024 and pledge that, if this condition is not met, we will give our votes to the Republican party.
