On Wednesday 22/05/2024, the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay has organised for Chastity campaigner, Jason Evert, to present to year 10 to year 12 students at MacKillop Catholic College Warnervale. Until parents raised concerns, this was a mandatory event for Years 7-12. 

We carry significant concerns about the topics this speaker is passionate about and may present to the students. 

MacKillop is an inclusive school for all, that celebrates every student as individuals, each having strength in their diversity. 

It is not appropriate to share messaging to students that does not support the current climate in Australia about gendered violence and women’s rights. The students safety and well-being come first.
