Free Penny Lane Ippolito started this petition to Governor Jared Polis and

Penny Lane Ippolito is a two year old in the custody of the Fort Collins Department of Human Services. Penny Lane Ippolito and her parents were experiencing homelessness when Penny Lane Ippolito was removed from the home. When removing children from the home the Department of Human Services takes on many responsibilities. The main goal is to reunite families using governmental services and funds to remove the barriers in reunification.

The Department of Human Services Fort Collins denies basic requested needs like PO boxes, and has no tangible solution to house people in their caseload, who are barred from their children due to lack of housing.

Penny Lane Ippolito has been denied visitation services, several times over the last year. The first time was when the COVID-19 pandemic first started. The Department of Human Services made a decision to not remain open as an essential business. Once a tyrant grips power they do not let go. Penny Lane Ippolito hasn't seen her parents in person for almost a year.

Penny Lane Ippolito has received many injuries while in the foster care system, most recently needing stitches. The Fort Collins Department of Human Services is actively and blatantly covering up her injuries.

Governor Polis and Mr. President Biden, I call upon you to intervene, children need to be protected in the Foster Care system by adults who are safe, accountable, honest and professional. The state of Colorado and the country have a housing crisis and a global pandemic. I get it you're busy.

My child is suffering and I cannot be silent any longer.

Please pardon my daughter Penny Lane Ippolito . The Department of Human Services in Fort Collins needs to be investigated like Moffat County, Colorado. Their goals, and allocation of state and federally funded resources do not extend to reunifying families.

I call upon my Colorado state senators to introduce legislation for the Department of Human Services that includes the proper procedures for documenting and notifying professionals and parents about injuries received in foster care to protect children, especially children too small to speak for themselves.
