I have updated the petition photo and replaced it with one showing the Tottenham Railway Station in the 1930's (courtesy of the Tottenham Historical Society Inc.). This station was demolished after the passenger trains stopped running sometime after 1974. It was one of the biggest mistakes ever made in this town. Other railway stations along the Tottenham Branch Line were also demolished or have fallen into a shocking state of decay. There was a time when people living along the Tottenham Branch Line enjoyed three to four passenger services to Parkes every week. Now all it has is one tiny minibus that runs once a week from Tottenham to Dubbo - and for forty years we didn't even have that small luxury. It's time to stop the decay and get these stations rebuilt and/or restored to their former glory, as we will soon be needing them again if this petition is successful.
