• For decades , we residents and shopkeepers of colaba Causweay Sbs road and I’m sure most of mumbai , have raised objections with the municipal commissioner and departments of the BMC along with the police , to ensure evictions of unlicensed illegal ENCROACHMENTS by hawkers who have mostly behaved unruly , at times aggressive , cases Registered with the colaba police station ,they  have no civic sense in regard to their space .
• Most of them being immigrants who have unjustly invaded the street . 
  The department of police and Bmc have given a blind eye to this injustice which has left us all wondering of the intent behind it .
  
  

We shopkeepers incur taxes of every nature , shops and establishment , wheather frame etc . 
They seem privileged to go on with their illegal encroachment and are supported , WHY? 
Bmc eviction vehicles arrive with Lic inspector to evict but as aware they mushroom back with no fear of authority ,surely there is a reason 

Sbs road being A VIP ROUTE HAVING SEVERAL HERITAGE Sites AND THE PATHWAY TO THE NAVAL BASE is reason this was declared a No Hawking zone . 
Why then this menace ? 
WHAT IS THE ANSWER TO THIS IRRESPONSIBILITY TO RIGHT ACTION BY OUR GOVERNMENT ?

THERE ARE FILES OF COMMUNICATION FROM SHOPKEEPERS AND RESIDENTS COMPLAINING OF NO SPACE TO WALK ON THE PAVEMENT AND EVE-TEASING WITH UNHYGIENIC CONDITIONS BY THEIR GARBAGE . 
WHENEVER DEPARTMENTS HAVE BEEN APPROACHED FOR JUSTICE A PACIFIER IS ALL THEY COME UP WITH . 
WE DEMAND A JUST AND PERMANENT IMPLEMENTATION .
