The Issue

Growing up in a family that deeply values compassion and justice, I have always believed in the power of community support and the vital role of governmental agencies in uplifting those in need. Recently, however, my faith in these institutions has been shaken. This is personal because state and federal agencies that receive funding to support vulnerable individuals have, instead, become detrimental to those they are meant to serve.

I bring forward a grave concern involving individuals and agencies entrusted with public welfare in Monmouth and Essex Counties, New Jersey. I am holding Jacqueline Surez, Jaclynn Trakalo, Johnathan Johnson, Philippe Ladoucer, and Gabriella DeGregorio of Monmouth County DCA accountable, alongside Matthew Baxter, Joshua Yidgal from Monmouth County Bridges Outreach, and Blossom Hercules, Britney McLean, Andres Arias, and Tyrese from Essex County Bridges Outreach. Their actions have forced a disabled trauma family, along with their service animal, into homelessness.

These agencies, funded by state and federal dollars, are supposed to protect and support families at risk. Yet, in this case, negligence and misconduct have inflicted harm. Why are the agencies sworn to serve public interest causing destitution and despair?

Demanding transparency and accountability, we question the oversight of these agencies. Who is investigating these departments? Who ensures that the funds allocated truly benefit the people they are intended for and are not siphoned to inefficiencies or misconduct?

It is crucial to launch an independent investigation into Monmouth and Essex County DCA and Bridges Outreach to uncover systemic failures and hold individuals accountable. Such inquiries would ensure misappropriated funds are redirected towards genuinely helping those in dire conditions.

Stories like these highlight a failure not just of individual actors but of the system meant to safeguard our citizens. Mismanagement at this scale demands immediate action to restore faith in public institutions and provide justice to those wronged.

Please join me in demanding that the relevant authorities launch a comprehensive audit and investigation into these agencies without delay. Sign this petition to be a voice for transparency, accountability, and the proper allocation of public funds.
