Neuigkeit zur PetitionIntroduce Direct Trains connecting Sydney Olympic Park to the City - Weekday Peak PeriodsInadequate Response from Labor Government

Dear Petitioners

Thank you for standing with us in calling out Sydney Olympic Park’s ongoing transport failures.

Unfortunately, the response I received from Transport for NSW was exactly what I expected — a generic, dismissive reply that highlights the lack of strong local advocacy from Donna Davis MP on this issue. It’s clear our community needs a louder, more determined voice to fight for fair transport solutions. It appears Premier Chris Minns only sees Sydney Olympic Park as an entertainment and sporting hub rather than a place for residential and business growth.

The attached snippet from the Transport for NSW letter is both inadequate and incorrect. They claim “network constraints" and the availability of fleet does not allow for the introduction of daily direct peak hour services to/from Olympic Park yet, as noted before, more than 50 extra trains ran for Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour concerts at Accor Stadium (Feb 13–15, 2026) - including during peak periods - efficiently moving massive crowds without any reported “conflicting demands." Just one of many examples.

Meanwhile, local residents and workers endure long, multi‑transfer commutes and overcrowded, unsafe buses — all while paying full fares. This double standard makes it clear the issue isn’t capability, it’s commitment. It’s hard to justify taxpayer‑funded train shuttles running between Olympic Park and Lidcombe every 10 minutes, often near empty, while regular commuters are left behind.

Our fight continues. Please keep signing and sharing our petition to demand consistent, direct train services between SOP and the CBD during peak hours.

Once the Liberal candidate for Parramatta is confirmed by Kellie Sloane MP - NSW Liberal Leader, I’ll be reaching out to seek their public commitment to implement direct peak‑period services if elected — a change that would benefit everyone who lives, works, or does business in and around Sydney Olympic Park and nearby suburbs.

Let’s keep the momentum going — please sign and share the petition today: https://c.org/njxpNs6XCX
