I'd like to express my sincere thanks to Donna Davis MP, Member for Parramatta, for calling me yesterday afternoon and discussing the transport challenges in and around Sydney Olympic Park (SOP) at length.
Ms Davis is arranging a meeting with the Transport Minister to address the concerns outlined in the Petition. I reiterated my concerns around the underutilisation of the SOP to Lidcombe services during peak hours (as they are not convenient for CBD-bound travellers) and the over-utilisation of 526 bus services to Strathfield, which are predominantly overcrowded.
For such a vibrant electorate, I commend Ms Davis for promptly responding to related social media posts and taking the time for a personal call. While I recognise there's no quick fix, my conversation with her has left me confident in her dedication to the electorate and her commitment to helping as much as possible.
