The absence of direct express train services to and from Sydney Olympic Park during weekday peak hours compels commuters to endure multiple interchanges—mainly at Lidcombe Station—resulting in avoidable delays and aggravation.

Buses from Sydney Olympic Park to Strathfield Station during these periods are routinely overcrowded and often skip stops when full, intensifying the transport crisis.

T7 Olympic Park line shuttles depart every 10 minutes toward Lidcombe yet operate largely empty, as they prove time-consuming and impractical for those heading to the Sydney CBD, and similarly for those heading to Sydney Olympic Park.

Meanwhile, the NSW Government is approving new homes at Sydney Olympic Park at a record pace while promoting small and corporate businesses to establish here, but these efforts falter because staff cannot reach or leave the area efficiently.

With Sydney Metro West delayed until around 2032 under Labor, residents and local businesses face ongoing unreliable access that stifles development.

I call on the Member for Parramatta to petition the Minister for Transport for direct express train services to and from Sydney Olympic Park during peak periods, Monday to Friday until Metro services commence.
