As a parent and member of the local community, I am increasingly concerned about the safety of children, parents, and staff crossing the road outside Masefield Primary School.

The roads surrounding the school become particularly busy during drop-off and pick-up times, making it challenging for families to cross safely. With young children, pushchairs, and increased traffic volumes, there is a significant need for improved crossing facilities.

I am asking Bolton Council to assess the area and implement the most appropriate road safety measure, whether that is a dedicated school crossing patrol (lollipop person), a pelican crossing, a zebra crossing, or another suitable solution that will help ensure children can travel to and from school safely.

Every child deserves a safe route to school, and proactive action now could help prevent accidents and give families greater confidence when crossing the road.

Please support this petition to help make the area around Masefield Primary School safer for everyone.
