This petition is to make aware the Mauritian government and it's Ministry of Shipping that it is more than time to update the format of the actual Seaman book. All Mauritian seafarers who have travelled with this seaman book have encountered many issues with border control and customs  because the latter looks so unofficial. We are therefore inviting every Mauritian seafarer to sign this petition so that we can get a convenient and official seaman book.
