The marine life in Dubai is being destroyed in a big way. Tourism has made an increase in the death of marine life.

Palm Jumeirah and Palm Jebel Ali were created in Dubai in 2004 and 2002. These artificial islands were created for companies to set up their hotels and foreigners to set their houses. It was basically built for tourists to live on these islands when visiting Dubai. It’s very successful financially but its impact on marine life is not acceptable.

The construction of the Palm islands along the coast of Dubai has caused several large environmental changes: a reduction in the area's aquatic life, erosion of the coastal soil, and irregular sediment transport along the shore. These artificial islands disturb the food chain of marine animals. Artificial Islands, could create corridors for some climate migrants or those threatened species most at risk from habitat loss. Around thousands of marine animals were found dead because of construction in the Deria islands.
