Impeach Ryan Mears

Impeach Ryan Mears
The Issue
The United States of America is a place where the people are supposed to be in control of our government. It is set up in such a way that a single person cannot make the laws for the majority of the American population. This is never more evident than the laws that are in place to keep the citizens of our country safe.
In saying that, when a single person has the ability to cherry pick what laws he/she deems important, it opens up the ability to pick and choose who is deemed a criminal. It opens up the ability to prosecute solely based on protected class, such as race, gender, socioeconomic class, etc.
Marion County Prosecutor, Ryan Wilson Mears has been doing just that since being elected into office. He has openly stated that he will not prosecute criminal activity as his oath of office requires. Thus, allowing him to pick and choose who he prosecutes as opposed to the crime which was committed.
What types of crimes has Prosecutor Ryan Mears refused to prosecute you ask; sex crimes involving children; various drug offenses; even allowing the murder of a Southport, Indiana Police Officer go without justice.
In one case specifically, he refused to prosecute a couple who was found with a large collection of child pornography in various computers and cell phones within their home. This refusal forced the Marion County Courts to return children to the home of the two adults who were caught with the collection of child rape videos.
Another case, involved a decorated Police Officer who was murdered in cold blood by a person he was trying to save. Shot 11 times, leaving a wife, child, department, and city heartbroken and in shock. This senseless murder didn’t rate the death penalty, nor did it even rate life in prison. The murderer will one day walk those very streets that Lt. Aaron Allan will not.
These are not the signs of a person who cares about our community, or the citizens therein. Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears needs to be relieved of his duties as the Marion County Prosecutor on the grounds of negligence, dereliction of duty, and the blatant refusal to live up to the very oath he swore to uphold.
