The Sutherland shire has 19000 registered soccer players and 5500 registered rugby league players. Out of a population of 220000 this represents 10% of residents. 

The recent wet weather has seen a significant number of games missed due to the field conditions. This is not an issue in European countries and our southern states. 
There has been a significant neglect of grass fields in the recent past, with preference given to synthetic fields which benefits a minority. 

Sign the petition to encourage the Sutherland Shire Council to spend OUR money and prioritise playing surface infrastructure to allow play in wet weather.
