I have called Pacific Palisades home for the past 15 years, and it pains me to see the devastation and neglect in these areas, especially after my own home in the Palisades community burned down 2 months ago. The cry of my heart is to see the natural beauty of the Pacific Palisades and Santa Monica Bay restored. Our communities not only deserve better, they need better for us to thrive sustainably.

The devastation from the wildfires is unbelievable. More than two months later, hardly any cleanup efforts have taken place. All the rainfall we’ve had since has carried loads and loads of toxic waste into ocean, water system, and soil, causing irreversible damage. This copious volume of waste has detrimental effects on our landscapes, wildlife and overall quality of life. If we continue on this path, our precious coastline and the vital marine life it sustains will suffer irreparable damage. The runoff from the burn sights is polluting our ocean at an alarming rate. Sea animals are dying on the daily along our coast all the way from Santa Barbara to San Diego at a rate no one has ever seen here before. 

Let's come together as a community to clean-up and care for our beloved city.
