Lacrosse is a fast, physical sport, and current helmets don’t always provide enough protection from high impact hits. Players deserve equipment that better reduces the risk of head injuries.

We are asking schools and organizations like the IHSA to update helmet safety standards to require higher impact protection

Require newer, better tested helmet models
Ensure regular inspection and replacement of damaged helmets
Invest in safer equipment for all teams, not just well funded programs
Athletes shouldn’t have to risk their long term health because of outdated equipment.
