Implement Urgent Legislation to Enhance Comprehensive care for children in the NHS

The Issue

I am a grieving parent who lost my 7-day old son Archie due to what I perceive as neglect and other disheartening concerns within the NHS. His untimely passing is currently under investigation. My tragic experience underlines the urgent need for improved Comprehensive care within the National Health Service.
Here is part of his story-

Hi, my name is Liv and I’m the mummy of Archie.
Here is his story and what I am looking at doing. I am determined to make a difference, I have already done Archie’s Law and awaiting for it to be passed. I also am going to go ahead and set up Archie’s Army Foundation to provide family’s that have critical ill children or that are experiencing grief.
Archie was born on the 22nd Feb 2024, he had a severe heart condition called hypoplastic left heart syndrome.
he underwent open heart surgery at just 4 days old on the 26th Feb which the operation was a success but had to come back to the ward chest open because he was puffy from bypass.
He was doing well as each day went on and was doing his chest up which would have been the 1st March. Come Thursday morning he was all good and the cardio team were happy with Archie’s recovery but Thursday evening is where it all change and my life paused.
I walked into ICU as I would and Archie was all fine, sats was great and doctor said he’s been great. The nurse was in the middle of doing his blood gases and from the moment the student nurse on with the nurse; she returned with the results and the nurse finishing putting the blood back into his artery, archie was dead. They proceeded to do CPR on him for 45 mins while the surgeons was seeing if it was anything to do with the surgery which they have stated it’s wasn’t. My life collapsed before me.
Moving forward, the surgeons requested the coroners to do the autopsy to find Archie’s cause of death which they took on immediately.
A few weeks into his autopsy we received a letter from the coroners office to state they couldn’t find a cause of natural death and has opened up and investigation to my sons death which led me to floods of tears that one mistake has taken my wee boys life.
Its been over two months since Archie’s passing and details unfolding to the nurse getting air pockets into his line which shut down Archie’s right ventricle which killed him instantly and why they couldn’t get his heart started again. There shouldn’t have been a mistake.
I’ve started this fundraiser to help me with the cost of a solicitor to take on the case. We have been offered Erwin Mitchell given unfortunately the hospital that Archie was at has prior lawsuits with Cardiac babies and death and they was very happy to take on my case if I had the funding due to the nature of the case it can not be done on a no win no fee basis.
Myself and the memory of Archie any donations will be appreciated.
Thank you for reading.

While the NHS has knowledgeable staff in place, we need stricter legislation that goes above and beyond current measures to ensure the safety of our children in this setting.

Therefore, I am imploring you to support this call for the immediate enactment of a law ( Archie's Law) to better safeguard our children within the NHS. We must prevent more avoidable fatalities and have nurses a doctors trained properly for critical ill children. The Draft bill has already been written up and Your signature can make a monumental difference in this pursuit to protect all our children.
