Implement longer payment plans for Minecraft Servers/Realms (Bedrock and Java)
The Issue
For years Minecraft has broadcasted the idea that its a game for friends and family, a somewhat educational game that isn't hard to understand, could be interesting to go into blind and just discover new things. The idea of servers and realms was for communities to be made, people turned them into PvP, or PvE, where they either work together to meet a common goal, or to build a world full of unique builds and creations, or they fight against each other utilizing the combat features of Minecraft. Either-way these servers have been a way for people to create a community and enjoy themselves, have fun, and Minecraft has blocked that ability through paywalls, or better I should say Microsoft/Mojang (but more likely to be Microsoft)
In recent changes I have to come like Microsoft slightly more, as we seen new management through Asha Sharma, she's made a few subtle changes to XBOX, and to my knowledge little to no involvement in Minecraft. In high hopes that this petition could possibly go somewhere and we could see Microsoft higher-ups considering this change. I'm no corporate whiz, I don't know how these things would take action but I know this website is giving people the ability to change things and reach out to big corporations to make a difference.
So, what do I want?
I want to make longer payment plans for Minecraft, building off the idea of community, friends and/or family can pitch in together for an annual Realm plan or maybe even just longer months rather than draining monthly payments. A one time payment plan like how they used to do would be better. I'm obviously aware that these servers cost some money to run so its somewhat understandable that they make us pay for them, so trying to make this change so that its...
1) More convenient
2) It doesn't drain peoples bank accounts with subscriptions they're unaware of
3) People can make one-time payments for a Realm that they can enjoy, renew (if they want to)
4) Somewhat builds off the idea of working as a community and giving people the option to pitch in for a communal server
