Many individuals, including my family and I, have suffered a great deal because of the numerous accidents occurring at the intersection of Paper Mill and Polly Drummond. Tragically, lives have been lost recently as a result of these accidents. The last few months have seen a surge in crashes at this intersection, taking a toll on our community. 

Statistics from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration indicate that having a dedicated green arrow at intersections can reduce left-turn crashes by up to 99% (NHTSA, 2020). The installation of a green arrow traffic light and allowing left turns only when the arrow is green could drastically lower the number of accidents at the Paper Mill and Polly Drummond intersection.

This straightforward, cost-effective measure could save lives each year and prevent the lifelong trauma that accompanies any serious accident. We implore the local authorities to act swiftly to prevent any additional loss of life or damage.
