Our DEM finance class at UTM has become a significant source of stress and anxiety for many students. The complexity of the subject matter is causing a widespread decline in GPA among students. This situation is not conducive to effective learning and can have long-term impacts on our academic records. We propose two potential solutions to this issue: either implement a credit/no credit grading system for this course or waive the exams altogether. By adopting one of these proposed solutions, we believe it will create a more balanced educational environment where students can focus on understanding the material rather than worrying about their grades. We hope that this action can also impact the future of this course as we believe an introduction to finance course is important and needed to enrich our knowledge but under different learning terms.
