In November of 2008 Mrs. Skinner murdered Steven Watkins.  It was not in self defense and it was not an accident, it was murder.  Steven's family lives everyday with the heartache of not having him here to talk to.  Mrs. Skinner can and does have visitors at least 2 days a week, this is more than Steven can visit with his family.  I know she is older and you might feel pity for her but she was older when she took his life and she hasn't spent enough time in prison for her crime.  Letting her out would be a mistake.  She is not sorry for murdering Steven, she is sorry for getting caught.  She and her family don't think that the rules apply to them, all you have to do is look over the custody battle and the murder case to see that.  I ask that you please deny her clemency so that we may continue to feel safe in our community.
