This is a follow up to the stop Shawn Ray from commentating bodybuilding shows petition. At 9 minutes into his October 18th 'CHICAGO PRO WRAP-UP' Real Bodybuilding Podcast, Fouad Abiad and Iain Valliere explain the problem with having Shawn Ray as a moderator and spokesperson for IFBB events. In his commentating, Shawn Ray completely sidesteps a bodybuilding commentator's responsibility of providing spectators with useful knowledge pertaining to the sport. Instead he decides to disparage competitors for a variety of reasons, such as hair color or personal factors (more are listed in the other petition). This behavior is likely to turn away anyone who is new to the sport and just trying to figure things out. Shawn Ray is an icon in bodybuilding and deserves respect, but it is also his responsibility to respect others who are currently walking in his footsteps.

Fouad Abiad explained best what a commentator's role should be on the podcast. It should not be their job to pick apart a physique and attack its weaknesses. Rather, to "do the Joe Rogan thing" and put what is happening into simpler terms. This is so that people who are outside of the realm of competitive bodybuilding can better understand what they are watching. Examples of this would be the commentator explaining why people are placing where they're placing, what the judges are looking for, what posing techniques can best display a physique, finer conditioning details that most wouldn't pick up on etc. Having a commentator who serves this role would by and large help the sport.

Fouad has expressed interest in being a commentator which is why I am putting forward this petition to see if we can get him to commentate on a professional bodybuilding show, if not the Olympia then whatever shows might be of interest to him for the 2021 season. I think he would do a really good job.
