Hi all hope you're keeping well in these challenging times.
As you may have heard through Facebook our dearest Margaret Killoran won her battle with Covid-19 thanks to the outstanding hard work, support and dedication of the staff at Sligo General Hospital. Now we are hoping to find space for Margaret to receive the full-time care she needs and deserves in her hometown of Tubbercurry. The HSE has made a recommendation of Cloonamahon, a great facility in itself, but we do not want to split Margaret up from her amazing parents Anne and Tommy with whom she has had a lifelong bond in her cherished home of Tubbercurry.
Anne Killoran has been incredible in her achievements and efforts in delivering essential facilities and services for disabled people around the Tubbercurry area as the HSE should be well aware of. Gallagher House and her involvement there is one of her proudest moments to date. Anne made Tubbercurry a home for many intellectually disabled people who had limited choices for care and support. We feel the least she deserves is to have her daughter close to her where it all began.
Anne and Tommy 92 and 87 respectively have looked after and cherished Margaret for her 47 years with all the love in the world. Please help us in our wishes to have Margaret receive the care she needs in her own town. Anne and Tommy have supported the intellectually disabled for 45 years, please sign this petition in support of them to bring home their daughter Margaret.
