Attention Australian Government!
When victims speak out about male violence we face backlash; resistance, disbelief, vilification and punishment on numerous fronts. We are silenced!
HOW DARE SHE:
Leave
Name her perpetrator
Speak of her abuse
Care for her children
Live free from control and abuse
Expect equality or justice
Be safe!
The last government ignored our safety.
We need to tell our stories of abuse and trauma.
We deserve an apology from the Prime Minister for the systemic abuse we have endured.
We demand redress.
We demand an end to courts forcing children into contact with perpetrators.
Currently the systems charged with protecting us harm us further.
Perpetrators have been invisible and protected long enough!
Men harm women because they can!
Because they get away with it.
Because it's accepted!
Because perpetrators close ranks and protect each other. They are protected by police and the family law repugnant market.
We cannot practically help victims of domestic, family and sexual violence whist police fail victims and perpetrators can hide in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia FCFCOA.
A ROYAL COMMISSION INTO CORRUPTION AND THE ABUSE OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN THE FEDERAL CIRCUIT AND FAMILY COURT OF AUSTRALIA is beyond overdue. Powerful players have silenced thousands of victim survivors.
SHUT DOWN THE FAMILY COURT FOR PROFIT INDUSTRY.
Perpetrators weaponise Family Courts, paying unethical lawyers and family consultants to abuse their victims by proxy.
Family Courts are mired in misogyny, and false accusations of Parental Alienation. Mothers are continually suffering the cruelty of having their children Court Ordered into dangerous relationships with perpetrators or completely removed and held from them for years on end.
We are Court Ordered into constant contact and to coparent with our rapists and abusers.
Family lawyers and judges are responsible for the domestic violence induced homeless crisis and the financial decimation of women.
We must be allowed to share our stories of pre and post separation abuse to highlight the trauma caused by systemic failure.
REPEAL SECTION 121 of the Family Law Act so that victims of Family Court Abuse can tell their horrific stories of state sanctioned torture.
PROTECT US FROM PERPETRATORS.
Victims should not have to flee our lives and hide in refuges. We need the perpetrator removed from the home and enforce perpetrator accountability and intervention.
FINANCIALLY SUPPORT US to remain in our homes amongst our neighbours, schools, workplaces and community supports.
FUND APPROPRIATE LEGAL AND POLICE SUPPORT for victims to achieve safety, recover and rebuild.
WE SHOULD NOT BE SPENDING OUR LIFE SAVINGS AND SUPER TO PROTECT OURSELVES AND OUR CHILDREN FROM PERPETRATORS AND THE FAMILY LAW INDUSTRY.
FUND APPROPRIATE TRAUMA SUPPORT FOR RECOVERY.
Perpetrators are not easily identifiable. They craft and project a very different public persona to the abuser behind closed doors.
The onus has always been on the victim to defend herself and protect her children from him.
Domestic Violence is a parenting choice. Men who harm their children and their children's mother, are not good fathers!
Nothing will change until men who choose to abuse are held accountable by society. This includes being held to account by parents, siblings, mates, bosses and co-workers who often enable them. We need the whole community standing together to acknowledge violence and control will no longer be tolerated.
Instead of being heard, validated and supported, victims are disbelieved and silenced by outdated laws that contravene the UN Declaration of Human Rights.
The perpetrator denies and lies to cover up for their abusive behaviour choices indicating they are very much aware their behaviour is wrong. Perpetrators blame shift to avoid responsibility.
Children are always victims in their own right.
The true costs of DFSV cannot be quantified.
Government funding has not been reaching victims or stopping violence against women and children.
Women are advised to leave though there are no supports for us once we leave. The perpetrator continues to control the victim post separation using family, friends, schools, workplaces, banking, police, Child Protection, Centrelink, Child Support, ATO, family law and other systems to continue to harm and control their victims (including weaponising children).
The perpetrator manipulates any support system the victim has, discrediting her and demonising her.
He flips the narrative using the DARVO strategy (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender). He enlists others to abuse her by proxy including unethical family lawyers (lawfare). He believes he has the right to continue to harm her and, due to government's lack of real action, currently he does!
Leaving is the most dangerous time for victims. One woman per week is murdered by their perpetrator. Murder is the ultimate act of silencing and control.
Perpetrators and their lawyers use debunked Parental Alienation Syndrome creating a false narrative of an unfit mother to counter disclosures of domestic, family and sexual violence to remove children from protective mothers via Family Court custody orders.
Police often misidentify the victim as the perpetrator. This is far more prevalent for First Nation women.
Breaches of Protection Orders consistently go unpunished.
Family Courts are not DFSV or trauma informed and ignore evidence of DFSV, setting aside Protection Orders.
Most victims do not have access to appropriate legal support.
Victims who have a house as an asset or are working don't qualify for legal aid.
Perpetrators and their lawyers commit perjury with no consequence.
Unethical lawyers drag proceedings out causing financial decimation for victims and financial windfalls for themselves.
The perpetrator is emboldened by the very systems that should protect victims.
Victim survivors are traumatised by systemic failures and human rights abuse.
The sheer magnitude of the injustice is staggering.
Government and systems are behaving in the same coercively controlling and abusive ways as the perpetrators.
We need everyone walking in the same direction towards safe homes, schools, work places and communities.
Please add your name to the very long list of victims of male violence who demand change.
