We are asking for an official in-game tribute in Minecraft to honor La’ tayvia Deshay Ransom, known to millions as Pretty Tayta or Tayta Games — a beloved gaming creator whose life and work deeply impacted the Minecraft community.

Tayta Games was a rising YouTube creator with over 428,000 subscribers, and more than one million followers across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. She became widely loved for her comedic reactions, genuine personality, and infectious joy while playing games such as Minecraft and Dress to Impress. Her content brought laughter and comfort to countless fans around the world.

In 2024, Tayta publicly shared that she had been diagnosed with colon cancer, openly documenting her journey through treatment and chemotherapy. Even while dealing with serious side effects, she continued to communicate with and encourage her fans. On September 17, 2025, Tayta passed away at just 21 years old, only days before her 22nd birthday.

Her passing was not only a loss to her family and friends, but also to the global gaming and Minecraft communities that grew up watching her videos, laughing with her, and feeling seen by her authenticity.

Why This Matters

Minecraft has a long history of honoring members of its community who helped shape the game’s culture. Pretty Tayta helped bring new players to Minecraft, made the game more joyful for her audience, and represented creativity, resilience, and positivity.
