Homes, Healing, Hope. Support The Glen for Men Housing Expansion Project!
The issue
For more than 30 years, The Glen for Men has been changing lives. Established in 1994, The Glen has been a place of healing for thousands of men experiencing alcohol and other drug challenges. Based on the ADARRN (Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Residential Rehabilitation Network) Model of Care, The Glen has become one of Australia's most respected residential rehabilitation services. Check out what we do here: https://youtu.be/EJpDpkfAFsI
But today, the demand for help far exceeds our capacity. We have 100% occupancy all year round and in recent years, we have established a new Navigator program to provide remote support and make warm referrals to other services when we are full. We have embraced technology such as AI to improve internal efficiency and also technology-enabled recovery supports. However, we can only accept 1 in 5 men who apply each year (due to capacity), and we simply need to build more beds.
After successfully opening The Glen for Women in 2022 and TGFW transition house in 2025, we are READY to increase housing at The Glen for Men. After self-funding a DA application, we are now looking for genuine partners to help us making a generational change.
The The Glen for Men Housing Expansion Project will create much-needed transition and affordable housing, allowing men to continue their recovery journey while working, studying, reconnecting with family, and rebuilding their lives. By increasing our bed capacity from 36 to 72 beds, more clients will be able to start the rehabilitation program.
We are calling on government, community leaders, and supporters to invest in a project that will transform lives for generations to come. By expanding housing at The Glen for Men, we can help more people heal, reduce pressure on health and justice systems, and strengthen families and communities across NSW.
