Hold Pakistani Military and Government Accountable for Oppression and Terrorism

Hold Pakistani Military and Government Accountable for Oppression and Terrorism
The Issue
My roots are strongly connected to Pakistan, being of Pakistani origin myself. Now living as an American, it saddens me deeply to witness the ongoing oppression and acts of terrorism Pakistani citizens endure daily. Thus, I urge the international community to recognize the ongoing issues and to hold the Pakistani military and current government officials accountable for these atrocities.
Pakistan is troubled with a high rate of human rights abuses including enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and torture. In the past decade, the Human Rights Watch reported hundreds of Pakistanis have been subjected to enforced disappearances - many of these cases are suspected to be orchestrated by the state's military and intelligence agencies.
As responsible global citizens, we must strive to uphold the values of humanity, justice, and freedom, and we cannot remain silent when these values are being suppressed. Let's stand together to enforce accountability for the continual suffering and fear endured by innocent Pakistani citizens, especially in areas like Balochistan, FATA, and Sindh where the military oppression is the most intense.
This petition is not a political tool, but a cry for justice and human rights— a cry to prioritise people over politics. Together, we can pressurize the international community and organizations, like the United Nations and Human Rights Watch, to take concrete action against the Pakistani authorities responsible for these human rights abuses.
Your support implies a world that refuses to be indifferent to injustice. Sign this petition and join me in demanding accountability for the unchecked power, oppression, and terrorism facilitated by the Pakistani Military and government.
