As the Principal of Tomerong Public School, I see every day how much our students and community would benefit from a covered outdoor space. We don't have a school hall, which means assemblies, sport, physical education, performances, community events and even simple gatherings are often disrupted by rain or extreme heat. Too many opportunities are cancelled or moved because we don't have an all-weather space.

This project isn't just about building a roof—it's about creating a place where our students can learn, play and come together safely throughout the year. It will also provide a valuable community asset for Tomerong.

Every child deserves access to safe, inclusive spaces where they can thrive. I'm passionate about giving our students the same opportunities that many larger schools already enjoy and I believe this project will benefit our school and the wider community for decades to come.
