The goal for our community project is to investigate how playgrounds and other areas that can not be accessed by a child with a physical disability. This affects one’s social, physical and mental health. In order to meet the needs of the young children wanting to experience fun interactions with playground equipment, for the physically disabled community. 

Our Global Context is Globalisation and Sustainability with a focus on mental health. I believe this Global Context connects to my project because we are attempting to make a positive impact on the mental health of children with disabilities by advocating for more disability access to playgrounds in local suburbs like Gulfview Heights and Golden Grove . 

The aim of our project is to create a foundation that fundraises and advocates for more inclusivity in playgrounds within Gulfview Heights and Golden Grove. With intention to retrieve attention from councils and families from these neighbourhoods in order to make a difference that encourages playground upgrades. The aim for our project is to spread awareness about how all playgrounds in adelaide should have accessible equipment in every council to benefit the wellbeing of children. How we will achieve this is by putting posters around the school, creating a instagram account (allpeoplecanplay), email the councils of Gulfview heights, Ridgehaven and modbury.
