Oxford needs a Bhagwan Valmik Temple!

Over the last 60 years, the Bhagwan Valmik Sabha Oxford have used a community centre for communal prayer and worship. Now, it is a right time for Bhagwan Valmik Sabha Oxford to have their own place of worship.

By signing this petition we can then put a petition towards the council to explain that the Valmiki's need their own permanent place of worship. Given that Oxford has never had a permanent place of worship, this is an opportunity to not be missed! Currently, worshippers attend other temples across the countries in other cities such as Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Bedford and Southall.

We wish to gain a strong enough numbers to sign this petition in order to show Oxford City Council that there is a significant need for a Bhagwan Valmik Temple in Oxford.

THE PROPOSAL:

We are hopeful we can have our own place of worship in the near future. The development proposal is to create a mixed-use place of worship, community Centre, sports hall, educational Centre, visitor accommodation and office space. Bhagwan Valmik Sabha Oxford seek to create a place of worship for Valmiki's for religion, education and health/wellbeing.

We are looking for a site that holds a lot of potential for a diverse range of uses and activities that can take place at any given time. The site will also cater for the needs of the Valmiki's all across UK, whilst also serving as a community-use Centre for those living in Oxford and the surrounding areas.

Every donation will be appreciated enabling the chance to secure the new site creating a place which creates community cohesion, promotes religious values, improves well-being and encourages spiritual growth.
